Unique family holiday experience

Keen to try a unique family holiday this year? And want a chance to give a bit back? Then lend a hand on a Wild Mob conservation project!

Wild Mob’s conservation projects are great for families. Children and adults get the opportunity to share in a broad mix of conservation volunteering, hands-on environmental education and a fair amount of free time to enjoy some of Australia’s most iconic environments, with or without our experts guiding you through the natural wonders.

All environmental work operates in partnership with local stakeholders at each project, like National Park managers, natural resource professionals, local property owners and Indigenous cultural leaders. These strategic partnerships offer the chance for families to have a unique holiday experience together.

All activities for the camps are tailored to each group’s ability levels, so you can be sure the work and learning activities will be at an appropriate level for everyone involved. During free time participants will have a chance to go on scenic hikes, visit Aboriginal cultural sites or go snorkelling in secluded bays, amongst many other options, depending on the project’s location.

Fourteen is the minimum age requirement for participants, and minors need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless travelling with a School or Youth group.

What about safety issues? All our project leaders hold positive notices for child related employment. They are certified in first aid and carry first aid equipment and satellite phones at all times. Our projects have been thoroughly reviewed through an extensive Operation Health & Safety risk assessment. Wild Mob also covers all participants through a mandatory public liability insurance policy during the projects. To learn more about the details, go to our FAQs page.

Our conservation projects offer families a great way to share a truly unique holiday together. It’s a great way to introduce youngsters to environmental issues, even when they’re not in the classroom. Keen to learn more about booking your family on a conservation holiday?
